Population growth, new technologies, privacy concerns and state seismic regulations all play a part in the need for Lodi Memorial Hospital to expand its inpatient services. In the next year the hospital will complete the state permit processes and begin building a new central plant. The hospital will break ground for the construction of a new, four-story patient wing in 2008. Funding for this important expansion project will come from loans, $150 million, fundraising efforts, $20 million, and the remaining $25 million is expected to come from operational revenues.
