Population growth, new technologies, privacy concerns and state seismic regulations all play a part in the need for Lodi Memorial Hospital to expand its inpatient services. In the next many years the hospital will continue planning and constructing its facilities until the original 1952 structure is completely replaced. This is expected to be completed by 2028.
Recently completed are a new central plant and a four-story patient wing. Funding for this important expansion project came from loans - $150 million in bonds - fundraising efforts, $20 million, and the remaining $25 million is expected to come from operational revenues.
