Volunteer Services

Lodi Memorial Hospital is always eager to train and orient new volunteers in a variety of roles throughout the hospital.  For those considering a volunteer position, these are some of the benefits:

• Finding personal fulfillment that can come from serving others;
• Becoming involved with an organization that helps both individuals and the community;
• Making new friends;
• Gaining knowledge about health;
• Annual volunteer-appreciation event; and
• Complimentary flu shots, meals and much more.

The hospital offers volunteers the opportunity to work in a variety of areas within the hospital and beyond, including its clinics and a number of community services.  Volunteers receive a comprehensive orientation/training period in specific areas of interest, including the:

• Gift shop
• Adult day care
• Courtesy desk   
• Business services department
• Central supply          
• Pharmacy department         
• Medical records department
• Patient-advocate program
• Wayfinding assistant
• Medical library
• Prayer ministry

To become a volunteer, the hospital asks potential volunteers to:

• Commit to four hours a week for at least six-months
• Sign a confidentiality agreement
• Complete a safety training
• Complete a general-hospital and department-specific orientation
• Complete a volunteer application
