James Myers, PA-C

  • Earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, a Master of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • He enjoys old, black and white movies, including cheesy sci-fi movies from the ’50s and ’60s.

Michelle Jaromay, FNP

Background and education:

  • Graduated from Samuel Merritt University with a masters of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner
  • She traveled with Global Medical Brigades to set up clinics in rural communities in Panama and Ghana
  • She has a goal of completing a marathon in 2015 or 2016
  • She enjoys hiking, stand-up paddleboarding and Argentine Tango

Maureen McCaffrey, RN, Critical Care Educator

  • She received Crictical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification in 1990
  • She has worked for Lodi Health since Oct. 24, 1980

We give excellent care and are often cutting edge. We are installing the first ceiling lifts in the valley in ICU; we adopted infection control monitoring and practices long before national guidelines required them.”

Ryan Vaccarezza, FNP

  • Graduated from California State University Fresno with post masters nurse practitioner
  • She has Emergency Department experience
  • She is an avid reader
  • She loves to cook for family and friends
  • She has been married for 10 years and has two children

Dawnette Person, NP

Background and education:
She earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Sonoma State University. She has worked for Lodi Health since 1981, in the ICU, and as a family nurse practitioner since 2004.

About Dawnette: She has been married for 31 years with four grown children, nine grandchildren and one pug dog. Her hobbies include exercise, reading and knitting.

Laura Akahori, FNP

Background and education:

  • Medical School: Sonoma State University, Master’s Degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner
  • She has worked for over 25 years as a registered nurse with most of her practice in maternity and newborn care
  • She joined Lodi Health West Pediatric Care in 2004
