Ruby Gatschet, MD
Dr. Gatschet is delighted to be joining the team at Lodi Health. She believes in providing first class care to her patients with compassion and integrity, and strives to continually improve and perfect all aspects of medical management both inside and outside the operating room. Her surgical training includes general surgery residency and dedicated fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery with University of California San Francisco and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates in Fresno. Dr. Gatschet was awarded the UCSF Fresno Department of Surgery Award for Excellence in Medical Student Teaching three years in a row. She is board certified in general surgery, and a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.

Benjamin Shadle, MD
Dr. Shadle’s dream is to help his patients achieve healthier and happier lives through bariatric surgery. He is passionate about the disease-curing aspects of bariatric surgery. Dr. Shadle received his medical degree from The Ohio State University and Bachelors of Science from Brigham Young University. He graduated with honors from residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where he received the Resident Teaching Award. He was fellowship trained in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the University of California, San Francisco with world re-owned bariatric surgeons. He is board certified in general surgery, and he is an active member of the American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
